Sedona offers several picturesque spots to enjoy water activities amidst its stunning red rock landscapes. Slide Rock State Park is a must-visit, featuring natural rock slides and cool swimming holes perfect for families. For a more adventurous experience, head to Red Rock Crossing, where you can paddle or picnic by the water with Cathedral Rock as your backdrop. These serene locations offer a refreshing way to explore Sedona’s natural beauty.
RED ROCK CROSSING
Red Rock Crossing has one of the best views in all of Sedona with Cathedral Rock towering over you while you swim. Park at Crescent Moon Picnic Area for $12 and walk a little over a half mile along the creek. If you’re a lounger, there’s plenty of shade as well.
SLIDE ROCK STATE PARK
Slide Rock is the most popular swimming hole in all of Sedona. This area is heavily visited because it’s absolutely beautiful. But, if you’re looking
for more of a low key place to enjoy the creek, this is definitely not it. Make sure to get there very early, because this place fills up fast.
GRASSHOPPER POINT
Grasshopper Point is your quintessential swimming hole in Sedona and a great alternative to the crowded Slide Rock. It’s shaded and cool and has jumping platforms for those who dare.
The water depth varies so those that like splashing in the shallows can cool off too.
