Family Adventures Await: Sedona’s Kid-Friendly Trails

Sedona’s trails offer breathtaking red rock landscapes, making it a fantastic destination for family-friendly outdoor adventures. There are over 250 hiking trails in Sedona. It can be overwhelming to decide which hike to do but just keep in mind there are no bad hikes in Sedona, and here are my top four trail recommendations to explore with kids.

BELL ROCK TRAIL

  • 1.1 MILES
  • 200 FEET OF ELEVATION
  • KID FRIENDLY

Bell Rock is one of Sedona’s most popular trails. But, it’s popular for a
reason. This trail is an epic adventure any time of day and the hike can be
easily altered to be a little longer and more of a climb if you want to go up
higher on the rock. This is a must during your visit to Sedona.

DEVIL’S BRIDGE

  • 3.9 MILES
  • 520 FEET OF ELEVATION
  • KID FRIENDLY

This is a popular trail in Sedona, so be prepared to share it with other
people. But, it’s definitely worth it to see Sedona’s most iconic red rock
arch. This trail is best at sunrise, but make sure you start before the sun
comes up because the trailhead parking lot fills up very quickly.

SEVEN SACRED POOLS

  • 1.2 MILES
  • 100 FEET OF ELEVATION
  • KID FRIENDLY

This short and easy trail takes less than an hour to complete, with added time for enjoying the view. The best time to visit the pools is after a rain if you want to see them full with water. But, it’s still gorgeous regardless.
It’s required to take the Sedona Shuttle to the closest trailhead.

SUGARLOAF LOOP TRAIL

  • 1.8 MILES
  • 377 FEET OF ELEVATION
  • KID FRIENDLY

The top of Sugarloaf offers an incredible full circle view of the
surrounding red rock landscape. It also has an excellent West-facing view for sunset. For how easy of a climb this one is, the views definitely pay off at the top. With well-groomed trails, this is great for the whole family
